Work

This time I don't even know where to begin. Seriously, my boss makes her staff feel like idiots and stupid. She treats her staff like children and thinks we are trying to keep things from her. Really?? Come on, boss, why would we do that.

So to start it all off, a certain child in my class is going through some serious shit, now and his teachers are a constant for him right now. I got told Monday, last week, that he would have a pacifier during nap time. Then four days later, on Friday afternoon, while I'm on break, I get yelled at for giving him the pacifier in the first place. I explained to my boss that I was told to give it to him. My boss goes, No - only if he is having a hard time, can he have it. I said okay, and left it as is. I went to speak with a co-teacher of mine about it. My boss thinks a hard time and emotional distress are the same, they really aren't if you take a close look at the differences. So Tuesday, I asked another co-teacher, if the child could have his pacifier and she told me "yes." So I'm already annoyed at the change because it happens all the time.

I had a supervision with my boss (a meeting to see how things are going, and any information we need to work on professionally). We had a long talk about communication and how everyone reacts differently to a situation. She agreed and now understands why I respond the way I do sometimes. And I explained how the afternoons where going and told that it was okay for 3 teachers to be in the room. Well, Tuesday came, and we all got yelled at, in front of the children, no mind you, about why there aren't 4 teachers in the classroom. She asked us what we each do during the time and she writes it all down. Now, nothing has changed, and the schedule is the same, and she agreed that its okay for 3 teachers in the room. Now there HAS to be 4 teachers at ALL times, no questions asked. And now she sends us an email about not changing the schedule unless we talk with the boss first and put it in writing. Just wow.

Sometimes I never know what kind of day its going to be, because of my boss and her unprofessional and totally out the window. And to top it all off, she was supposed to take ALL the time sheet, for tomorrow, since we have pre-service training's all day and she doesn't take them. Seriously, boss, you need to wake up and smell the coffee. I hope was for a pretty okay, good week, before my wonderful adventure to NJ Con, this weekend to meet up with some amazing friends. So now, I'm pissed off, frustrated, and annoyed at how I'm treated on a regular basis. SO now my frustration, anger level has risen and I can't wait for Friday, to drive down to NJ with my Mom and have a blast over the weekend.
