Feedback from Tutor

I sent my paper to the writing center to be reviewed by a tutor. It was for today and I was anxious to get home to find out what was said.

It was not as BAD as I thought it would be.

You make a great observation here about how verbal communication can be used to gain control!

Again, you have some great information and observations here! I can also really understand how you’ve organized this paper, breaking the verbal communication down into three main categories.

There’s nothing objectively wrong with including a lot of details; the important thing to consider is whether your draft is appropriate in scope to meet the requirements of your assignment.

Again, good information in this paper, Erin – I just think that you are including more information than your assignment calls for.

Reading these lines and statements for feedback made me smile. I made my points and shared great information and observations!!! I need to be more concise - short and to the point. Not stray from the topic. Less is better not more. So I feel really good about my ability to write!!!!!

Thank you! I was afraid that I would be told what I wrote was a piece of shit. The tutor reassured me that I had good points and ways to be concise within my sentences. It made me feel that I was and able to write. Be concise and clear straight away and forget too much detail to get my point across.

yeah. I agree with the tutor. when I was marking papers it was always streamline: concise and clear. it's really easy to want to put in *everything* you know, but sometimes it isn't always relevant.

Thanks!! I feel reassured that I have the ability to write and get my point across. I need to be more concise and straight to the point. Not get lost in details of explaining my response.

It is quite interesting that I want to write my next paper ahead of time and send to the writing center before passing it into my professor. I hope to accomplish the short and to the point sentences than venting through details.

I'm feeling better about it. Hoping to accomplish the task at making the changes.

I do feel better with my writing though I am still nervous and anxious about following my tutor's feedback to use for my next paper. I am writing it ahead of time and sending it to the writing center.
