I know some people feel that they write for other people and it is other people's enjoyment that is important to them when it comes to sharing a story. I acknowledge the sentiment but ultimately, I think it's mistaken. We aren't writing for a living, we aren't writing to pay the bills;we're writing because we enjoy it and because we want to. For me, that changes the goalposts substantially.
Honey, if you had fun writing the story, if you feel accomplished and proud of yourself for doing it and if you like the story that you've written, then those are the important things. Don't worry about other people; when it comes down to it, some will enjoy, some won't and the vast majority won't give you any feedback anyway (because that's true of basically every story out there). The thing is, if you know that you enjoyed writing it and you're happy with what you achieved, none of those things really matter anyway. Ultimately, you didn't really write it for them anyway, you wrote it for yourself - I know you did, because I've seen you post about it over the last few years and the objective for you was always to write this story, not to share it :)
(and, for the record, you wrote a BB story, you should be proud of yourself. Those are no mean achievement, especially when you're trying to work and study at the same time. I think you need to give yourself a lot of credit).
(and, if no-one else writes your prompts, there's always the option to write them yourself. You're in practice at the moment :D)
