Gah!!

Well it was a rainy day that I thought was going well until my staff meeting at work. I had a team meeting with my team and Director (Boss). Well, I was told, whether it was meant in the manner it was or not, it still hurt regardless. I was told that Annie (co-teacher) worked well and had the classroom under control with two subs. I felt like I was worthless and that Annie no longer needed me as a teacher to work with. I was made to feel like i was worthless and that i shouldn't be a teacher anymore. Seriously this situation will drive me crazy. All the doubts and insecurities I had regarding being a teacher are all back at the moment. Anyway I know people don't care and I say the same shit over again but I need to get it out and shit.

It explains why I have had a migraine for the entire week. Go me!!!

So what happens now? You won't lose your class, right? :-(

I'm sure they know you're just as capable as Annie...some people are just really crap at motivating their staff. I don't think you need to worry, hon, I'm sure you're a wonderful teacher. :-)

But, yeah, if it's causing you this much stress, I think maybe you should start looking for a job elsewhere. This is obviously not a great place to work. And everyone cares, hon...We're all here to support each other. :-)

I will keep my class. I have to have new techniques on transitions and follow through with the children. Though the support I get is from Annie not my Boss. MY boss has never helped me at all with anything. Plus, my boss doesn't like to single out anyone, so she said it to me and Suzanne (the woman who isn't very helpful in the long run). So it might not be 100% towards me, but still it hurt nonetheless.

Its an option, just not a the moment. Paying to my Master's myself is over 4K a semester. So yeah its in the back burner at the moment.

Thanks, I needed that. I know people care, and everyone here supports one another. I don't have that much in my life to start with. Thanks for the inspiration. :)

Your boss sounds like a bit of an asshole, so, honestly, I don't think you should listen to a word she says. Balls...education is so expensive. :-(. But just remember at some point you'll be able to tell her to shove her job up her ass...maybe just focus on that and on your great kids. :-)

LOL!!! Thank you. Trust me my boss is an asshole. She truly can't do the job in a nutshell. She yells at families and children and staff. She isn't very professional, let me tell you. Yeah, school is expansive, but I've enjoyed it so far.

Those kids in my class, are the best things ever. They make me laugh and smile daily with everything they do and say.

Late to catch up, but just wanted to send good vibes your way. It sucks to feel belittled, whether intentional or not. Just stay focused on your own goals and doing the best you can every day, and feel good about that.
