December 29 - For dreamersdare - If you had to set yourself a creative writing challenge for 2015, what would it be?


To be honest, I've been dreading this question. I'm on a creative writing journey, so I'm working on my writing skills, writing style, and writing voice. It's been a challenge and true struggle getting through it and I will always be on the writing journey. I know I have many aspects of writing to work on and I will achieve them and feel more confident in my writing.

Though my creative writing challenge for 2015 would be write 3 different stories.

I have 2 said stories in the works already, but I'm going to look at what I have and see if its the direction I want to go with the story. Another story I have written out an outline of where I would like to take my characters through the story. It's going to be something completely new from me and something I never attempted to try writing about. One story will be about a fantasy sex position from one character and their partner fulfills it, another is about dreams, and another one will have myself in the story with mental illness and in a wheelchair. So its then plan I have for 2015!!!

Wow, that seems like a tall order. I think that my life will be back on track soon and I have been thinking about the same thjngs. I'll look forward to what you have to offer.

It does seem like a tall order. Its the journey, the writing journey that I'm more focused on than anything else. These 3 pieces of work will show various styles and writing from me and one will sorta be out of my comfort zone, but I have enough background to show it. Whether I complete all these stories or not, isn't my focused goal. Its learning and understanding my writing skills, writing style, and to show the characters emotions rather then telling it!!!

That's what I've been trying to accomplish as well. I found this wonderful writers kit in a thrift shop where you take a word and write a story around it.. also found some wonderful help on Pinterest.

Thank you!!!! My plan is to have fun with writing and not to get so overly emotional over my writing. Its a journey I'm enjoying!!! I've met amazing new friends, who are helping me achieve this goal. Your included!!!
