Oh sweetie, I am so sorry that you have to pull out because I know how much you want to write your story the right way and I can understand your frustrations about not being able to finish it in time.
I know that you'll be able to finish it off for next year and that you want your story to be the way you it too be.

It's okay. I am disappointed but I could no longer denial the fact. It would not be finished and ready by the deadline.
My story will be written and completed. Not sure about the challenge for next year, but it's a story I want to explore and write.
ps: don't worry about it. Life happens. I was in denial and knew my story was not readable. I will continue to send you my stories and await your feedback. your blunt feedback.
