Learning from Mistakes

yonkyuThere is a lot to be said about learning from your mistakes. I have to say, its clearly evident in regards to my new journey on writing. On wanting to focus and learn all I can to make them flow and pure emotions come off the page.
I have a wonderful and talented friend sharing her advice and suggestions with me; to help support my journey to improve my writing. Who's to say it will improve my writing, no one will know. I'm honored that my friend is willing to help support my writing and can see the potential; whether its big or little, she is taking the time to share her wisdom of writing with me. I know that writing in general, whether its for school or pleasure; writing is and will always be a challenge and struggle for me. I'm not very confident that my stories are worthy for readers to enjoy. I took a look at a story I wrote back in 2009, and I have to say, my friend is right, it needs a lot of work and a beta wouldn't like me very much. LOL. Though I'm determined and dedicated at reaching my goal: feeling confident that what I have written is worthy and that readers will enjoy the story. I'm not too worried about receiving comments on my work by any means, so who knows if they do enjoy it. I enjoy writing every single story that I have written. I'm proud of the stories and they mean the world to me. There are a few stories I'm very proud of and feel that my writing was very strong. Though to others it might not be.
All the writers on my F-List inspire me all the time. Your writing style and skills are amazing, impressive, and a natural. I read all your stories and I'm blown away at the pure, true talent, that you have when you share a new story with others all the time. I might not be cut out for this kind of writing, but I really enjoy writing, and I have fun with it.

Date: 2014-09-22 12:24 am (UTC)I've not been a happy person full of joy for sometime. I mean there have been moments that I've been thrilled and joyful, but true happiness with positive attitude attached, its been a while.
So, your support, help, and advise has helped me to push myself in so many ways to be a better person.
I have picked up the book you suggested and I've gotten about half way though and my wheels are already turning. :)
